When Danielle is not slaying it in a stellar acting role on screen or stage or riding her Harley across the country (#womenwhoride), she's a mum and a passionate advocate for supporting the welfare for others.
It's why she's just completed a recent trip to Africa - part of her work with Child Fund, whom she has supported both in New Zealand and Australia for many years. Check out her Facebook page or her Instagram for videos of her trip and for more info.
Danielle is also a mentor for the Bridge The Gap Project, which helps at-risk Kiwi youth get the support they need to grow.
Here, at Good For You TV, we love that her genuine passion for people drives her work. She's also a really good mate of Claire's. Together, they've survived many juice cleanses, spent their very last dollars on organic chocolate-covered goji berries, dissected the art of acting till it hurts their brains and cried on one another's shoulders a fair few times.
It's why Danielle had no choice but to catch up with Claire for a quick chit chat about the things she's finding that are pretty darn good for her right now.
When I'm time poor and need something Good To Chew...
I make sure I always have fresh berries in the fridge and smoked salmon. Both require no prep and are nutritious & tasty - but not together.
Five Good To Do activities I recommend in Sydney...
- The Bondi to Bronte coastal walk followed by a swim. The most sensational vantage point in the city.
- The White Rabbit Gallery - unique contemporary Asian art in an old Rolls Royce dealership
- Motorcycle ride through the Royal National Park
- Moonlight outdoor cinema in Centennial Park
- Kings Cross Markets for great food, produce and vintage on a Saturday morning
A Good To Know lesson in life I’m learning at the moment is...
In heightened moments take that pause so I can respond to something, not react. It's been more challenging for me than it sounds.
My current top pick for a Good To Go place is...
I’ve just been singing in a choir for palliative care patients, that's my Good To Go place - anywhere in the community that might need help and that I can be of service to others.
The health trend I can’t get enough of right now is...
Don’t know if its a trend but I love to have an infrared sauna. It's relaxing, great for sore muscles and lifts the mood. Win, win, win!
This morning ritual helps me win the day... Meditation 20 mins in morning and afternoon.
On a rainy Sunday afternoon, here’s something Good To View...
The rain running down the windows, people getting caught in the rain or reruns of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. GOLD.
A healthy thing I do regularly that’s really Good For Me... Sleep and Laughter. Separately, but its a bonus if you wake up laughing.
